Welcome to The 4th Annual

Toronto Pan Afrikan Film Festival
Exodus Flyer

The 4th Annual Toronto Pan-Afrikan Film Festival(TPAFF) carries the theme EXODUS, a call to witness and reflect on the journeys of Afrikan people across generations. Exodus speaks to departure and arrival, exile and homecoming, loss and liberation. It is the crossing of oceans and borders, but also the crossing into memory, resilience, and collective healing.

For African and Caribbean communities in Toronto and across the diaspora, Exodus is not a distant history; it is a living reality. From the Middle Passage to modern migration, from leaving homelands in search of safety or opportunity, to returning through culture, language, and art, our people are constantly in movement. Every story of survival, every act of creation, every gathering in Little Jamaica, Rexdale, Scarborough, or beyond is part of that unfolding journey.

Through film, we honor these movements, forced and chosen, physical and spiritual; and the ways our communities continue to remake home wherever we land. Exodus is not only about leaving; it is about becoming. It is about what we carry with us, what we protect, and how we rise together.

This season, the Toronto Pan-Afrikan Film Festival invites audiences and filmmakers to witness, remember, and celebrate the unstoppable spirit of a people who have never stopped moving forward.
